Workshops & Group Courses for Parents and Children

First-Step: a course that goes in-depth into your baby’s development

Unlike common courses that offer general exercises to support psychomotor development, the First-Step course is a thoughtfully designed program created to support your baby’s holistic development. Each course is designed according to the child’s specific developmental stage so that you always gain information and skills that match your baby’s age and individual needs.

What makes the course special

This program is not just about exercising with babies. It is a learning and support system that brings parents:

  • deep understanding of the child’s motor, sensory and emotional development

  • practical techniques, handling, all development topics

  • professional advice

  • the opportunity to consult your individual situation with the instructor

Individual approach in a small group

Each cycle consists of 6 to 8 sessions led by a certified First-Step instructor.
The group includes a maximum of 6 children with parents, which allows for a personal approach, plenty of space for questions, and individual consultations.
During each session, we focus on you and your baby individually – so that you know exactly how to support their development at home as well, in everyday situations.

An environment where you will feel comfortable

Courses take place in our center – in a safe, cozy, and stimulating environment where you can relax, ask questions, and share experiences with other parents.
Each session takes place in an atmosphere of trust, respect, and professional support.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling begins with filling out an intake form, where parents provide basic information about the baby’s health, the course of pregnancy, birth, and development to date. This is followed by an analysis of a short video in which I can see what developmental stage the child is in—this helps me prepare for the first meeting. The initial diagnostic consultation itself lasts approximately 1.5 hours and includes observation of the baby’s movement patterns, gentle bodywork, and a discussion with the parents so that we can set an appropriate support plan and further development.During the meeting, I demonstrate specific exercises, handling and positioning techniques that parents can safely try and continue practicing at home.

After the consultation, I stay in online contact with the family so that I can continuously monitor progress, adjust the plan, and guide parents toward achieving the best possible outcome in the child’s development and body biomechanics.

Counseling 3–6 months

In the period 3–6 months we monitor:

Gross motor skills – head control, forearm support in prone position, first attempts to push up on straight arms, rolling from tummy to back and vice versa, trunk stabilization, creeping/crawling.

Postural reactions and reflexes – gradual fading of primitive reflexes (Moro, grasp), emergence of protective reactions when changing position.

Fine motor skills – purposeful reaching for objects, palmar grasp, transferring an object between hands.

Sensory abilities – tracking an object through the full range, hand–eye coordination, interest in visual and auditory stimuli.

Communication development – vocalization, laughter, response to voice, and early forms of social reciprocity.

Counseling 6–9 months

In the period 6–9 months we monitor these areas:

Gross motor skills – more stable sitting with support and gradually without support, rolling to both sides, rotations in prone position, first attempts at creeping/crawling and moving forward on all fours.

Postural reactions and reflexes – protective reactions when falling to the sides, symmetry in movements, strengthening the trunk, balance and equilibrium

Fine motor skills – two-handed grasping, transferring objects from one hand to the other, first attempts at a pincer grasp

Sensory abilities – hand–eye coordination, tracking an object when changing position, responding to own name, engagement with varied stimuli

Communication development – vocalization with alternating syllables, imitation of simple sounds, first responses to basic verbal cues

After 9–12 months

In the period of 9–12 months we assess key areas of development:

Gross motor skills – stable independent sitting, getting onto all fours, first attempts to pull up to stand with support, beginnings of lateral cruising along furniture.
Postural reactions and reflexes – falling reflexes (reaction to loss of balance), support and balance reactions.

Fine motor skills – development of the pincer grasp, manipulation of small objects, transferring objects between hands.

Sensory abilities – visuomotor coordination, focusing attention on small objects, responses to auditory stimuli and simple instructions.

Communication development – babbling using syllables, first responses to simple commands and gestures.

Over 12 months

  • A baby who does not crawl, sit up, or stand.
  • Babies who pull up to stand, but it is very difficult to maintain balance.
  • Problems with walking or anxiety about it
  • Difficulties with communication and socialization—with strangers, other children, or at home
  • The child walks but tends to fall often

Newborn care and postpartum (six-week) counselling

The period after birth is beautiful, but also very sensitive – for both the baby and the parents.
I offer individual guidance directly in your home, in the environment where you feel most confident. During the visit, we will look together at everything you are currently dealing with – from baby equipment, through sleep, breastfeeding, colic, crying, babywearing, positioning, all the way to handling and supporting development.

Based on observing your baby and talking with you, I will create an individual development plan that precisely reflects the current needs of your baby and you as a parent.
I remain in follow-up contact with you so I can continue to guide you, monitor progress, and adjust recommendations according to your baby’s development.

In my work, I focus on muscle tone, body symmetry, newborn reflexes, and building connection, which are the foundation for healthy, natural development.
The goal is for you to feel confident, calm, and competent – from the very first days of life together.
